Abstract: THE IMPACT OF TEAMWORK AND COLLABORATION ON EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION

Objective: This study aims to (1) explore the relationship between teamwork and collaboration and employee motivation, (2) identify factors that enhance teamwork, and (3) assess the impact of collaborative work environments on employee productivity and motivation.

Research Design: A survey design was chosen to collect detailed feedback from employees about their experiences with teamwork and collaboration.

Sample Size: Utilizing Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 360 employees was determined, ensuring a 95% confidence level with a 5% margin of error.

Case Study: The research was conducted in the healthcare sector, where teamwork and collaboration are essential for patient care and service delivery.

Location: Port Harcourt, known for its diverse healthcare workforce.

Reliability Coefficient Score: The survey instrument had a Cronbach's alpha score of 0.87, indicating high reliability.

Findings: The study found that effective teamwork and collaboration significantly enhance employee motivation. Key factors include open communication, trust, and shared goals.

Recommendation: Healthcare organizations should foster a collaborative work environment through team-building activities, effective communication channels, and trust-building initiatives to enhance employee motivation and performance.
